Strength of Light:  In the vast expanse of the cosmos, amidst the swirling nebulae and distant galaxies, there exists a magnificent dragon. With scales shimmering like galaxies themselves, it soars gracefully through the void, cradling a radiant star in its mighty talons. This star, pulsating with an ethereal brilliance, serves as the core light from which all illumination emanates, its luminance piercing the darkness that attempts to engulf the cosmos. Sometimes the artwork argues with you...This dragon originally should have been black. I planned it out as a black dragon and had set up my palette for painting it black. As I dipped my brush in the first layer of dark blue he looked at me and said "No, Im white....Im white with fluffy feathered wings."I actually sat there for a good 5 mins with brush in hand arguing with this dragon.Clearly he got his way, and (don't tell him) but I think he was right...Soaring Through the Cosmos, Watercolor on watercolor board, 2017~Carla
